Having two crazy boys myself, I can truly relate to what the M. family’s future has in store for them. In September, they welcomed their second son into their family. That’s right, second son. Older brother was such a cutie and was definitely stealing the show in some of the photos he was in, and little brother was just soooo adorable. You just wanted to gobble him up, nuzzle him, hug him and kiss him!
I really loved how this family interacted with each other and the love that they showed for each other. Dad even said he was so glad that Mom had scheduled this photo shoot. So when Dad’s happy, you know everything is going really well.
Going into the session, Big Bro still hadn’t had a chance to hold Little Bro, so we thought this would be a great time to capture that first-time reaction. But Big Bro would have nothing of it. He was so concerned and so scared about his new baby brother. He kept saying, “No, I drop him! I drop him! I don’t want to hurt him!” It honestly was one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen. So, though we didn’t get any sibling shots of Big Brother holding Little Brother, we did get to see that new love forming and the concern that Big Brother had for his Little Brother. I think that Big Brother is going to always watch out for the little guy, and that’s the way it should be.
As you go through the photos, you can definitely see the love and compassion they all have for each other. You will also see a nice mix of the Lifestyle and Posed approaches to newborn photography. (Not sure what I mean by those terms? Check out this earlier blog post for a helpful explanation.)
First up, the Lifestyle approach:
This baby was just so adorably yummy. Older brother had such a sweet energy about him too. This family is truly lucky. Their hands will be busy, as I know from my own experience, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world and I doubt they would either!
