You may remember at the start of the summer I threw down the #94DaySummerPhotoChallenge. Basically, I dared myself and anyone else who wanted to participate to take one photo every day for the 94 days of Summer 2016. I’m happy to report I actually did it (on 2 instagram accounts to boot!) – and many of you out there did it too! Here are some of my favorites from my summer! Read More
These beautiful young ladies are becoming a regular feature on our Facebook Page and on the blog. Every year I look forward to photographing them and seeing how much they’ve grown. They are always so polite and fun. In fact they LOVE having their photos taken. Can you blame them? They are all stunning! Read More
School has begun, there’s a chill in the evening air, and Halloween is around the corner. All that can only mean one thing: It’s time to announce the complete details of our annual Fall Mini Sessions! Read More
Bright bold colors, belly laughs and a gentle touch made this family session perfectly them.
I love how this family puts together their wardrobe. Every year their style is fun with little touches that add to the personalities of each person. A cohesive look I love without the matchy-matchy. They are an energetic family who likes to smile, laugh and explore. I think these photos really capture that part of them. And Little Miss found every caterpillar in the park this day. Read More
You don’t have to be a pro with a fancy camera to get fun, memorable back-to-school photos. The whole point is to capture your kids just as they really are right now. Little or big, try and take the time for this every year. Make it a tradition. To help you out, I wanted to give you some tips and ideas on how and what to photograph.Read More
I woke up on the morning of this laughter-filled session to clouds and an overcast sky. Now overcast isn’t a bad thing for a photo session, but rain, not so much. I kept my fingers crossed for the rain to hold out as I headed out to Nyack to meet the Fox family. We started inside because this house had the most beautiful light! I know we should have went out right away, but I couldn’t resist this big huge picture window. As a photographer I am drawn to big windows and light. I just can’t help myself!Read More
I know you’ve all heard that it takes a village to raise a child. Since becoming a mom myself who doesn’t live down the road from my family, this statement couldn’t be any truer for me. Sometimes family is our village, and sometimes it’s friends. I’m a transplant to Rockland as is my husband. While my parents aren’t that far, they are too far for everyday help and visits. So what does a mom do? We make our own village. I have been super lucky to find an amazing group of friends who are a big part of my village. I could not have started this business without them in so many ways. They have been my biggest supporters, copy editors (how I need them), babysitters, shoulders to lean on, models and the list goes on.Read More
A year has gone by, and this little man recently celebrated his first birthday with a Smash Cake Session! It really felt like yesterday that I met and photographed Sebastien when he was only days old for his newborn session (click here to see this guy as an itty bitty squishy!). It always surprises me how much babies change in a year, but how certain things about them stay the same. His hair went from dark and straight to curly and a little lighter. His eyes kept that beautiful blue color that will be wowing everyone his whole life. His smile and laugh is contagious!
I made my way over the Tappan Zee Bridge to Irving in Westchester County, NY, to meet up with this lovely family of five. We chose a very picturesque park on the Hudson River for our session.
If you are anything like me, you are totally over this wet, snowy and cold wintry weather! Even though it’s now officially spring, it hasn’t really been feeling like it. So today we decided to share one of our Spring Mini Sessions from last year that we never got to put on the blog because we were just so busy. Let’s hope it ushers in some warm weather soon!Read More
Having two crazy boys myself, I can truly relate to what the M. family’s future has in store for them. In September, they welcomed their second son into their family. That’s right, second son. Older brother was such a cutie and was definitely stealing the show in some of the photos he was in, and little brother was just soooo adorable. You just wanted to gobble him up, nuzzle him, hug him and kiss him!
I really loved how this family interacted with each other and the love that they showed for each other. Dad even said he was so glad that Mom had scheduled this photo shoot. So when Dad’s happy, you know everything is going really well.Read More
We ended 2014 with the fun-loving R. family. We really did have a blast in November. We lucked out and had some really great weather – it wasn’t too cold, it wasn’t too hot, it was just right.
We did a lot of running around and playing. I definitely came home dirty this day, but it was well worth it. The smiles we got were awesome. The laughs we got were hysterical. There were some bribes in there and I’m sure that sugar helped, but man was this a great shoot.Read More
The S. family have been loyal clients for a few years now. It’s been so much fun watching their three daughters grow up from little girls to young women. (See their 2012 session here!) So when fall rolls around, I’m anxiously looking in my inbox, waiting to hear from them to know when our next meeting will be. We always have a lot of fun on our shoots, a lot of joking and kidding, and the sisters, being sisters, always crack me up! I have two boys, so it’s always fun to see the dynamics of girls, especially as they are growing older.Read More
Babies, toddlers, preschoolers, tween, teens … They are forever our babies. My grandmother used to call me “the baby” well into my adult years and I wasn’t even the baby of the grand kids. I have to say, though, I loved it. And I love birthdays! I love surprising my kids in the morning and giving them birthday hugs and kisses. Usually the night before I get a bit teary as my baby is another year older.
So when little Miss H’s mom called to say she wanted to have her daughter’s 1 year photos taken, I headed to NJ to help them celebrate! What makes her birthday even more special is that she shares it with a big birthday here in the United States, the 4th of July! Stars, stripes and fireworks – this little girl knew how to make an entrance into this world. Now here she is at one!
I was really excited to make the trip out to Quogue, NY, in my beloved Long Island to photograph the R. boys. Mom wanted to have the photos done at a family home that has special meaning to her and the entire family. It was the perfect setting for three rambunctious and sweet sweet boys (not to mention handsome). I made quick friends with these little men and had a ball. We played, we ran, and mom did a special dance. Most of all we laughed.
Being a mom of small boys myself, it’s always nice to meet another mom who lives the crazy boys life. Enjoy!
Thank you R. Family for inviting me to your special place to add to all the wonderful memories you’ve already made. I can’t wait to see how you all grow!

I first met this momma at story time at our local library. She was always upbeat and so sweet to my little man. My youngest and her oldest are the same age. Little did I know, over a year (maybe two), later she would call about a photo session. As we chatted I remembered her and her beautiful little girl. I was pleasantly surprised to know she now had an adorable little boy.Read More
Have you noticed that as you get older, the years go by faster and faster? My little one turned 1 this month, and I swear I have no idea where the time went. We had so much fun shooting his smash cake, and I think you can tell he had a blast too. I always say, “the messier the better”. He definitely did not disappoint.
I’m super behind on editing for the blog, but I had to share these. As a mom I feel like I say, “no, don’t touch, don’t put that in your mouth…” way to much. So to relieve some stress, I decided let them at it. Now as you can imagine, a 3.5 year old, and 11 month old finger painting is indeed MESSY! I only got a few shots in, since I was covered in paint too. Check out my little vampire baby and his big brother. Here are my favorite 3:
