You may remember at the start of the summer I threw down the #94DaySummerPhotoChallenge. Basically, I dared myself and anyone else who wanted to participate to take one photo every day for the 94 days of Summer 2016. I’m happy to report I actually did it (on 2 instagram accounts to boot!) – and many of you out there did it too! Here are some of my favorites from my summer! Read More
I took this photo the other day and I can’t stop looking at it. I posted it on Instagram and Facebook so you probably saw it already. I have been pulling it up on my phone over and over again. Needless to say, I’m obsessed with it. I love that the photo tells a story as well as stops time for a moment. Read More

Bright bold colors, belly laughs and a gentle touch made this family session perfectly them.
I love how this family puts together their wardrobe. Every year their style is fun with little touches that add to the personalities of each person. A cohesive look I love without the matchy-matchy. They are an energetic family who likes to smile, laugh and explore. I think these photos really capture that part of them. And Little Miss found every caterpillar in the park this day. Read More

I woke up on the morning of this laughter-filled session to clouds and an overcast sky. Now overcast isn’t a bad thing for a photo session, but rain, not so much. I kept my fingers crossed for the rain to hold out as I headed out to Nyack to meet the Fox family. We started inside because this house had the most beautiful light! I know we should have went out right away, but I couldn’t resist this big huge picture window. As a photographer I am drawn to big windows and light. I just can’t help myself!Read More
Remember these two love birds from their snowy bump session in Tappan, NY, this past winter (click here to see the full maternity session)? Well, that cute bump is now a handsome baby boy! He made his appearance a little earlier than expected, but not to dismay he was just perfect!
I was super excited when I heard the news that it was a boy and that I was going to get to hold him in my arms (I was needing my baby fix)! I must say he was a superstar sleeper, and very strong even in his sleep. We just couldn’t get him to uncurl his little fingers.
If you are anything like me, you are totally over this wet, snowy and cold wintry weather! Even though it’s now officially spring, it hasn’t really been feeling like it. So today we decided to share one of our Spring Mini Sessions from last year that we never got to put on the blog because we were just so busy. Let’s hope it ushers in some warm weather soon!Read More

Having two crazy boys myself, I can truly relate to what the M. family’s future has in store for them. In September, they welcomed their second son into their family. That’s right, second son. Older brother was such a cutie and was definitely stealing the show in some of the photos he was in, and little brother was just soooo adorable. You just wanted to gobble him up, nuzzle him, hug him and kiss him!
I really loved how this family interacted with each other and the love that they showed for each other. Dad even said he was so glad that Mom had scheduled this photo shoot. So when Dad’s happy, you know everything is going really well.Read More
I’m super behind on editing for the blog, but I had to share these. As a mom I feel like I say, “no, don’t touch, don’t put that in your mouth…” way to much. So to relieve some stress, I decided let them at it. Now as you can imagine, a 3.5 year old, and 11 month old finger painting is indeed MESSY! I only got a few shots in, since I was covered in paint too. Check out my little vampire baby and his big brother. Here are my favorite 3:
This year our Memorial Day weekend was uneventful, and that’s not always a bad thing. We went to the pool and then just hung around. There weren’t may photo opps, but I did snap a few when my boys where dressed in their red white and blue. All be it in my stark backyard I think these are some of my new fav’s. However my 3 year old wasn’t having any of it. So my little guy was the focus. My favorite photos of my kids and images from my sessions, are the one’s where the subject is engaged in something. Whether it be the grass or sand in the sandbox, or with another person. It just rings true to me.
My absolute favorite photos of my kids are the one that evoke strong emotions and memories. Posed picture are always nice, but the ones that remind you of a once in a life time moment, are the most special to me. This snipet of my 3 year olds life, made my husband and I laugh so hard it brought tears to our eyes. He couldn’t wait to go outside. Still in his pj’s, firemen boots, and batman mask he ran outside. I just had to get my camera to recored this. I know that whenever I see this in years to come, I will laugh out loud remembering how happy and giddy we were. I wouldn’t trade these photos for anything. So remember even when they don’t do what you want, wear what you want, or act how you want, you may get the most amazing photo that will make you feel like you are back in that moment every time you look at it.
