At the end of one year and the beginning of a new year, I, like other people, look back at the past and toward the future. I look at my successes and my failures, and the goals I set for myself. What did I accomplish? What did I not accomplish? How did I accomplish those things I thought would never happen?
I’m really excited to say that business wise, I was able to add new services this year. I was able to meet many more people and many new babies! There was a baby boom this fall, I’ll tell ya!
I was also able to incorporate more of my love of lifestyle photography into almost all of my sessions this year. When I was a child, photojournalism was what drew me to photography. It was telling a story. And that’s what I want to show in my work. So if you’ve noticed over the last year in our blog posts and our Facebook posts, you see more of a lifestyle approach. You see more families interacting with each other, smiling and laughing and having a good time versus just sitting there and smiling at the camera. We hope to continue more of that in 2015 and really build on showing the connections between people, on your relationships with your children, with your husbands, with your wives, with your partners. We want to work on telling stories, not just recording a moment. We want to make that moment happen. We want to have those smiles be real. We want to see your life in photos.
This post features just a sampling of some of my favorite images from 2014. My photos are like my children. So much care and love goes into each one, and the idea of choosing a favorite just seems wrong! Even picking these few photos was gut wrenching!
Thank you all for a wonderful 2014. It was so great to see you, to meet you, to see old friends, new friends, and have a really good time! We had a lot of laughs, and even some tears, but sometimes the tears are what make the great photos. I wish you a very happy 2015 and can’t wait to work with all of you again and to see some of those new additions that I know are coming soon! I love watching your families grow, your children’s smiles brighten, and your love for each other shine! From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
Looking for someone to help make wonderful memories and tell your story…
